At Rowdy Poppy we believe that community (and flowers) feed the soul. As a queer, woman-owned business, we empower and support those around us. We take an active part in bolstering people and organizations who do the good, hard work to improve our relationships to each other, the city and this world. We share what we know through classes and programs. We fight for what we believe in through philanthropy and sustainability. And we grow flowers that leave the Earth better than we found it. Our flowers look good and do good.

The Rowdy Rouser Giving Program

Rowdy: hell-raising, wild, irrepressible, disruptive, noisy

Rouser: one who awakens, stirs, or excites

Each quarter, we highlight a local organization doing incredible work in our community and stirring up some good and necessary trouble. We partner with them to promote their work and donate a portion of our sales for that quarter to help continue their efforts. Learn more about our partnerships below and don’t hesitate to let us know about other Rowdy Rousers you’d like to nominate!

April-June 2023: Colorado Doula Project

Founded in 2015, CDP is a volunteer-based collective of abortion doulas and reproductive justice advocates. January-March 2024: Rose Community Foundation Newcomers Fund

Since December 2022, over 30,000 people have arrived in the Greater Denver region after traveling from South and Central America. The city of Denver, the state of Colorado, and many local nonprofits are responding quickly to welcome them and provide necessary services. For those individuals and families who intend to make their home here in Colorado, there are immediate needs that our community can rally together to help address.

All dollars raised through the Fund will be deployed quickly and strategically to Colorado nonprofits providing essential services. Grant decisions are being made with guidance from a steering committee which includes representatives from the City and County of Denver, the State of Colorado, The Denver Foundation, Latino Community Foundation of Colorado, and Mile High United Way.
